Jewelry Consultant Sales Professional
About The Company
We specialize in fine retail jewelry and jewelry repair both in a local brick-and-mortar location and on a global scale with e-commerce on our website and on Amazon.com. We carry top tier brands and bring on-site jewelry repair to our community.
Jewelry consultants work directly with customers, helping identify their needs and selling them merchandise. They perform several tasks such as presenting jewelry, conducting sales, running credit cards, and inspecting jewelry. These professionals must be knowledgeable of the items in their store to answer potential customer questions and effectively sell products; for example, the consultant must know the difference between different types of metal, understand the process used to make merchandise, and have a understanding of gemstones. Jewelry consultants must use their customer service skills to effectively make sales presentations and build long-term relationships with customers.
We require a high school diploma or equivalent for the jewelry consultant sales professional position. Jewelry consultants must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. They must be comfortable with working in an environment where there may be a higher potential for theft. Avonlea Jewelers provides on-the-job training to newly hired consultants and supports continuing education through online and/or physical workshops, classes, and certifications.
Benefits & Wages
Jewelry consultants may work a variety of hours depending on the needs of their employer and their store’s hours of operation. Depending on the company, jewelry consultants may be paid on commission and/or receive a base salary.
